Welcome to the International Primary School

When the Sisters of the Assumption set off for Denmark to found a school over one hundred years ago, they believed that through God’s good gifts, every child has the potential to change the world. They believed that it is the job of the educator to draw out all the good gifts so that the child can grow, flourish, and use their talents for the benefit of all of us in society.   

Today, we are still drawing out the best in every child who walks through our doors. Through differentiated lessons, we focus on learning and encourage each child to look for learning in everything they do.   

Our definition for learning, SOUL, highlights the educational journey of our community. SOUL stands for See your learning, Own your learning, Use your learning, and Live your learning.  

In this way, we prepare our children to be life-long learners; always curious, always asking questions, and always striving for the next step in their transformation. Through peer-evaluation, for example, we are working not only for our own good, but the good of our classmates, our SOUL mates, and for the good of the world around us.   

We ask not what the world can do for us, but what we can do for the world. We focus on the development of the whole child, mind, body and soul; physical, mental and spiritual.  

We aim to excel in our studies, but also to know the meaning of life, and to be at peace with who we are. These are the people who can move society for the better. These are the people who can bring salt and light to all they meet. This is our vision for all the children in our care.
